In what is becoming tradition, Lauderdale Graphics has been presented with the Printing Association of Florida's (PAF) Florida Print Awards "Best Digital Printing" award, sponsored by Hewlett-Packard. The winning piece, "Manhattan," was created for Supreme International.

For a total of 12 awards, Lauderdale Graphics has been recognized again as one of the best in the state. LGC received 6 "Best of Category," 1 "Award of Excellence," and 5 "Judges Awards" at the 21st annual Florida Print Awards, the printing industry’s largest and most prestigious statewide graphic arts competition. The PAF presented the awards to elite Florida-based printing, graphic arts companies and schools during a banquet on August 8, 2009 at the Loews Royal Pacific at Universal Orlando.

George Ryan, president and CEO of PAF, says that “Year after year, the quality of the submissions for the Florida Print Awards increases, raising the standard to which they are held. It seems like we say this every year, but the judges remarked how they were, once again, impressed with the entries submitted by PAF members and also said this year’s competition was the toughest yet. Lauderdale Graphics should be very proud of their outstanding accomplishments.

The Florida Print Awards recognize individuals, companies and organizations responsible for the creation or production of print communications. The competition promotes excellence in the industry and recognizes companies and individuals who produce the best in print media.

PAF, host of the Florida Print Awards, is the state’s largest graphic arts trade association, representing an industry with more than 74,000 employees and $9.8 billion in sales.

This year, LGC submitted 13 pieces for consideration, of which 12 received awards. One received 2 awards, for Best in Category and a Flamingo Award for "recognition of outstanding work in categories particularly difficult to judge or to recognize exemplary use of printing processes." In fact, this same piece also received a Premier Print Award's Certificate of Merit, better known as a Benny Award, which will be presented at the Premier Print Awards Gala in Chicago this September.
